Spectrum Care is an independent charitable trust that provides services for children, young people and adults with an intellectual disability or autism spectrum disorder, and their families.
The organisation supports people living in residential homes in the community throughout the greater Auckland/Waikato area.
Respite, Home Support, Behaviour, Cultural and Vocational services are also available to people living in the greater Auckland area.
Spectrum Care supports the principles of the New Zealand Disability Strategy and places great emphasis on the worth of the individual, personal growth and the provision of holistic support for people with an intellectual disability.
Spectrum Care believes in providing person-centred services that focus on the needs of people as individuals. All services support people to identify their expectations and what they want to achieve in their life to make it meaningful for them. Outcomes and goals are then included in a person's Outcomes Plan and support is provided to help people to achieve these.
Open two-way communication and the development of community partnerships are integral to Spectrum Care's philosophy. |
